My best friend Nicole loves to experiment with food. She is an international student from Hong Kong, and often makes Cantonese style dishes (there is ZERO good Asian food in Baltimore.) Today is the first day of school for Hopkins students, and she's starting her senior year without me, so I'm missing her a little more than usual. I'll definitely miss being her taster this year; she's a pretty amazing chef, and the type of person who will always save you the best parts of the dish (the side, fatty pieces, in this case.) This dish is sweet, savory, juicy and tender, and is possibly my absolute favorite Chinese entree. Nicole's incredibly easy recipe -- with just two ingredients -- means I never have to drive to a Chinese deli to get my favorite flavors." Ingredients
Pork Loin (0.8 pound) 3-4 Tbs Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce

Andrew's parents recently started a vegetable garden. Their cucumber harvest this summer has been pretty bountiful, and I am often gifted with spiky, furry, funny shaped cucumbers. Last night, I whipped up this dish as an appetizer. It takes less than 10 minutes to make, has protein and vegetables, and the crispiness of the cucumber complements the silkiness of the egg. Both my mom and dad gobbled it up." Ingredients:
4 large eggs Salt 2 tablespoons oil Green onion, sliced ½ cup sliced cucumber Sugar Sesame oil Sesame seeds
My boyfriend Andrew worships Gordon Ramsey. He watches all of his shows and youtube videos, then we attempt to make food together. One of Andrew's favorite food is a good steak, so we decided to try to make it at home. Andrew's gotten pretty fancy with his herbs, adding rosemary and thyme sometimes, but I still like the classic salt and pepper best. This recipe has become Andrew's signature dish, and I'm not complaining. Who doesn't love a man who can make a good steak?" Directions:
